Option 1: The Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL) is a new co-curricular program designed to ensure that every CBS student develops the skills to become an ethical and inclusive leader. Through PPIL, students attend programming focused on five essential diversity, equity, and inclusion skills: Creating an Inclusive Environment, Mitigating Bias, Communicating Across Identities, Addressing Systemic Inequity, and Managing Difficult Conversations. Tell us about a time you were challenged around one of these five skills. Describe the situation, the actions you took, and the outcome. (250 words maximum)

How is the Columbia MBA Structured?

The Columbia Business School is based on The Core Curriculum System. It provides in-depth mastery of the academics and applied functional areas necessary for success in the business world.
The Core Curriculum consists of two full-term courses or eight half-term courses. During the first-term, you study 9 core courses ranging from Lead: People, Teams, and Organizations to Financial Accounting to Strategy Formulation and many more. During the second-term, the only compulsory course is Operations Management and you have to select six (6) other courses among a plethora of electives. You can opt out of a core course before the term begins by exam and replace it with an elective course.
