Test Blind Universities – Admissions without SAT or ACT
At the start of the pandemic in late 2019, it became difficult for students to sit for the SAT or the ACT – tests required for the admissions to most top universities in the US. Hence, the universities decided to go test optional for the 2020-21 admissions cycle. However, as the pandemic looms large still, most universities have decided to continue the trend of being test optional. And then there are some who have decided to turn a blind eye to the tests even if a student submits these scores.
Unlike test-optional colleges, which allow students ti submit their test scores, the test-blind colleges do not accept the standardized test scores. So, no matter how well or how bad have you done on the standardized test, your scores would have no bearing on your admissions. The number of test-blind colleges has increased over the last two years due the impact of the corona pandemic.
Here is a list of universities, ranked among the top 200 by USnews.com, that are test-blind for 2021-22 admissions cycle.
