About ISB
The school founded in 2001 became the 100th school to receive accreditation from Association of MBAs (AMBA), EQUIS, and AACSB. The accreditation from the three world-class bodies is know as “Triple Crown.” Only three business schools in India have the “Triple Crown” – IIM Kolkata, IIM Indore, and ISB.
ISB currently has two campuses: Hyderabad (established in 2001) and Mohali (established in 2012). The Hyderabad campus is spread across 260 acres comprising of an academic theatre, a recreation centre, and four student villages. The Mohali campus boasts of academic block, faculty offices and lounge, learning resource centre, an atrium, and four research institutes.
Unique Associations
ISB has some unique associations with Top B-schools across the globe. ISB has academic alliances with the Kellogg School of Management, The Wharton School, London Business School (LBS), MIT Sloan, and The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University.
ISB also has a network of schools for Exchange Programs. The number currently stands at 53 with schools from the US, France, South Africa, Israel, Germany, China, Singapore, UK, Canada, and many more. Some of the most popular schools in the list are Kellogg, SDA Bocconi, Darden, NYU Stern, NUS, Duke Fuqua, Ross, HEC, IE, IESE, Rotman, etc.

Essay Question 1
Describe with examples the most important personal quality that you possess which significantly enhances your prospects of being successful as a leader?(400 words max)
Essay 1 Review
While writing this essay, focus on MOST IMPORTANT, PERSONAL QUALITY, and SUCCESSFUL LEADER.
Make sure to choose one quality that makes you fit in the ISB class. While you need to choose only one quality, you need to substantiate it with multiple examples. In short, you need to “pitch” yourself in this question.
This question needs to be self-aware to finally decide on that quality. Introspect yourself or ask your friends who know you well to identify that one quality.
Once you find the quality, make sure to substantiate it with examples to make the reader believe in that strength. Also, keep in mind that it is important to show how this quality helps you to be a successful leader in what you do or what you will do after ISB. Hence, take this essay also as an opportunity to define leadership in your own way, talking about the elements that you most value.
A good essay will not only answer the question correctly but also gives the reader an idea about how the quality and the education at ISB will help you achieve your short- and long-term goals.

Essay 2 Review
The goals question is common to almost all B-schools that you will apply to and it also has been a consistent part of the ISB MBA application as well. ISB has one of the best career placement services among the top B-schools and this is one of the most probable reasons why ISB is interested in understanding your goals.
It is important to be specific about your goals. The essay should clearly show that you are employable. Talk about the transferrable skills that you have and those that you have acquired. However, make sure to not repeat your resume in this essay. You need to inform them about how do you fit in a particular role and how you plan to achieve that. The idea is to demonstrate your intention of effectively leveraging the experience that you have had so far. If your future career role or industry is too competitive, it is also a good idea to give them a plan B.
For long-term goals, they don’t want to know your position but the path you will take to reach your goals. Establish the quality and context of the work you have done thus far and show how you have effectively had seamless transitions.
Do not go overboard with “Why ISB.” The essay is more about your goals and not about how much did you read or know about ISB.
